Mr. Danny Ooghe, Convenor of ANNA Workgroup 2 (WG2) reported on the following changes proposed by the working group:

Exceptions - Special cases related to assignment rules
• Taxable / non-taxable securities: clarification on the special case for Italian debt securities where reference is made to Legislative Decree 239.
• Issues of the European Union: clarification on the definition and the role of the German Numbering agency.
• RegS/144A debt issues: withdrawal of the definition of “common depository” in the context of the NGN (New Global Note).

Financial instruments other than securities
• Traded Options & Financial Futures: inclusion of “underlying instruments” in the definition.

Consequences of Corporate Actions
• Stock Split /ISIN rules for paperless securities: a change of ISIN is only made if necessary for technical reasons.

The changes proposed by the ANNA - Workgroup 2 resulted in version 9 dated November 2006 of the “ISIN UNIFORM GUIDELINES RELATING TO ISO6166”.
This version was duly approved by the ANNA membership during the November 2006 Extraordinary General Meeting in Buenos Aires.
Each ANNA member will adopt these new guidelines in their respective jurisdiction as from January 15, 2007 onwards.
